Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has decided to hold a grand rally in Nayapaltan on Friday to avoid public suffering.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir came up with the decision during a press conference at BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan today (July 26) at 9 pm.
Mirza Fakhrul said that instead of July 27, the pre-announced grand rally at Nayapaltan will be held on July 28 at 2 pm.
"We believe that now the government or any of its associate wings will not create any difficulties in our rally. We urge everyone involved to ensure next Friday's rally a peaceful and successful.
Earlier DMP Commissioner Khandaker Golam Faruk said, “Police have not yet allowed BNP to hold the rally at Nayapaltan or Suhrawardy Udyan. We have suggested them to go Golapbagh ground or any other field as Thursday is a working day.”
