BNP's grand rally started in front of the party's Naya Paltan central office around 2:00pm today (July 28) for its 'one-point' demand to topple the government.
The rally was organised to press home their one-point movement -- demanding a non-partisan neutral polls-time government.
The rally started with a recitation from the Holy Quran.
The party men have been coming to the rally venue chanting anti-government slogans, carrying posters, festoons, and placards.
Earlier today, leaders and activists of the BNP gathered in front of the party's Nayapaltan office ahead of the grand rally.
BNP announced the grand rally on July 22. The rally was primarily scheduled to take place on Thursday (July 27).
Later, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has given permission to both the Awami League (AL) and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) to hold their rallies at their preferred locations subject to 23 conditions.
