DHAKA: Jubo Dal activists set fire on Tejgaon rail line area at the morning of the third day (Monday) of roads, rail and waterways blockade enforced by the opposition BNP-led 18-party alliance on Monday morning.

Witnesses said Tejgaon Thana Jubo Dal activists set fire to tires in the area at around 06:15am.

On information, law enforcers rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

Meanwhile, a Kamalapur-bound local train escaped narrowly from the fire.

Officer-in-Charge of Dhaka GRP (Government Railway Police) MA Rashid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
