BNP starts mass processions in Dhaka

BNP's mass processions to press home their one-point demand for a non-partisan polls-time government have started from two areas in the capital on Friday (August 11) afternoon.

Both BNP's north and south units have organised the processions that started at 3:30pm.

Dhaka city north unit bring out the mass procession from Badda Subastu Tower to Abul Hotel, while BNP south unit bring the procession from Kamalapur Stadium to Malibagh Rail Gate.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir led the Dhaka north unit procession while BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chaudhury, vice-chairman Altaf Hosen Chaudhury, Abdul Awal Mintu, advisor to the BNP chairperson Jaynul Abedin Faruk, among others, were present in the procession.

On the other hand, the south unit procession led by BNP standing committee member Mirza Abbas, which started from Kamalapur Stadium, will conclude at Malibagh Railway Gate.

Among others, the party's Standing Committee Members Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Vice-Chairman Barkatullah Bulu, Prof AZM Zahid Hossain also attend the south unit procession.
