Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and his wife Rahat Ara Begum will leave for Singapore for treatment on Thursday (August 24).
Mirza Fakhrul confirmed the matter while talking to media today.
He said “Some new physical complications have arisen. That's why I have to go to Singapore urgently on the advice of doctors.”
“My wife Rahat Ara Begum had already booked an appointment with her doctor in Singapore. She recently underwent a surgery. She will undergo treatment at Raffles Hospital in Singapore,” he said.
Earlier on January 15, Mirza Fakhrul was admitted to the capital's Evercare Hospital for a health checkup as he was feeling unwell.
