Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir left Dhaka for Singapore this morning for medical treatment.
Fakhrul, along with his wife Rahat Ara Begum, left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight around 8:30am.
The party's media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter.
Earlier on February 10, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir went to Singapore for medical treatment.
The 76-year-old BNP leader received treatment in Singapore last time on January 30, 2021.
Earlier on 2015, while incarcerated, Fakhrul was diagnosed with a block in the internal carotid artery of his neck.
