A Dhaka court framed charges against seven people including BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and BNP Joint Secretary General Habib Un Nabi Khan Sohel in the Police Constable Shamim murder case.

Acting Judge Bilkis Akhter of the Additional Fourth Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court of Dhaka formed the charges, rejecting the plea of acquittal of the accused, on Thursday (August 31).

Rizvi's lawyer Syed Zainul Abedin Mejbah confirmed the matter.

The other accused in this case are BNP workers Abdus Sattar, Shah Alam, Anwar Hossain Tipu and Alfas Elais Abbas.
