DHAKA: Awami League advisory council member Tofael Ahmed also Minister for Industries and international affairs advisor to the Prime Minister Gowher Rizvi met Jatiya Party (JP) presidium member Begum Rowshan Ershad at her residence at city’s Gulshan-2 on Friday evening.

They held an hour long meeting that started at around 6.30pm along with JP senior leaders.

The two senior AL leaders termed the meeting as a courtesy meeting rather than any other political issues.

While talking with journalists, JP Presidium Member Kazi Firoz Rashid also termed the meeting as a courtesy visit.

Earlier, in a press briefing, JP Secretary General ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader said: “Jatiya Party will run by the guidance of HM Ershad and there is no chance for any other leaders to take his position.”
