DHAKA: Jatiya Party (JP) senior leader Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud attended an emergency cabinet meeting to discuss country’s prevailing law-and-order situations.

The meeting started at home ministry conference room at secretariat around 3:00pm on Sunday.

Barrister Anisul Islam is the first JP minister who joined in the all-party cabinet meeting after party chairman HM Ershad boycotted the upcoming 10th parliamentary polls.

Awami League ministers and senior officials of law enforcement agency were also present at the meeting.
