BNP started its rally at the party office in Keraniganj's Jinjira to press home their one-point demand for elections under a non-partisan caretaker government.
The rally started around 3:20pm with a recitation from the Holy Quran.
BNP leaders and activists were seen chanting slogans in front of the party at the rally venue since this afternoon despite rain to take part in the rally.
Wearing colourful dresses, BNP’s men have been coming to the rally venue chanting anti-government slogans, carrying posters, festoons, and placards.
Earlier on September 18, BNP declared a 15-day program from Tuesday (September 19) till October 3 as part of a simultaneous movement demanding the resignation of the ruling Awami League government and elections under a neutral caretaker government.
