TANGAIL: District BNP is observing half day hartal in sadar upazila of the district on Saturday in protest against murder of Rafiqul Islam Faruqe, the UP chairman Dhaina and BNP’s vice president of the upazila.

Besides 83-hour roads-rail-waterways barricade, called by 18-party alliance, is also underway in the district simultaneously.

Local sources said to banglanews that no untoward situation was reported. Additional police were deployed to avert subversive acts at key points of the district town.

Earlier miscreants killed Rafiqul Islam Faruque on Friday morning.
