BARGUNA: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami called a daylong hartal in the district after police detained district Jamaat Ameer on Saturday noon.

The leader is Nayeeb-e-Ameer of the party Abu Jafar M Saleh.

The Jamaat leader was arrested from Kathaltali area under Pathar Ghata upazila of the district around 1:30pm.

The municipality secretary and district spokesperson of the party M Masum Billah announced the hartal at 4:00pm in the district.

Confirming the matter to banglanews Patharghata Thana Officer-in-Charge M Nurul Haque said the Jamaat leader was produced before the court after arrest.
