A Dhaka court on Wednesday (November 01) placed BNP joint secretary general Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal on a five-day remand in a case filed with Paltan police station.

Metropolitan magistrate Shafi Uddin passed the order after Paltan thana police produced him before the court with a 10-day remand petition.

Tapas Kumar Pal, Additional Public Prosecutor of the Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court of Dhaka confirmed the matter.

Earlier, the Detective Branch of police detained the BNP leader at the Shahidbagh mosque alley in Shahjahanpur in the capital on Tuesday.
