Two Cocktails were hurled at BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas's Shahjahanpur residence in the capital.

BNP chairperson's press wing member Shamsuddin Didar confirmed the matter. 

Afroza Abbas, president of Jatiyatabadi Mohila Dal and wife of Mirza Abbas, alleged that two motorcycle riders came and threw the two cocktails at their house at around 8am on Tuesday (November 21).

Shamsuddin Didar said motorcyclists ran away when the security guards tried to catch them, during this time, they saw some three to four motorcycles carrying six to eight policemen parked near their house. 

When the staff asked the police about the incident, the police did not respond, he added.

Mirza Abbas is currently in jail. 

He was arrested by police on October 31 from the capita in connection with a case filed with Shahjahanpur Police Station over exploding crude bombs, attacking police and snatching firearms from them during the party's grand rally on October 28.
