JESSORE: Law enforcers, in a special drive, detained 51 people, including six BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami activists from different upazilas of the district early Wednesday.

Assistant Police Super (Sadar) of Jessore Reshma Sharmin told banglanews that, on the first day of special drive, police held 51 persons from different thanas of the district.

Among the arrested, three Jamaat-e-Islami activists were from Kesabpur Thana and one each BNP activists from Sadar, Jhikargachha and Sarsha Thana.
