GOPALGANJ: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, is scheduled to visit Tungipara on Thursday.

The matter was come to be known from a statement signed by personal secretary-1 to the premier M Jahangir Alam on Wednesday.

On her way to Tungipara, Sheikh Hasina would address a rally in Balurmath area of Bhanga intersection in Faridpur around 10:00am and at Sadar Stadium around 12:00 noon.

Later, she would reach in Tungipara around 1:30pm and address a rally GT Government High School ground at around 2:30pm.

The premier will hold night at her own house.

On the next day (Friday), she would join in a workers meeting in her electorate Gopalganj-3 (Tungipara-Kotalipara) and give speech at the Louhojong College ground and Srinagar Stadium.

Local Awami League, Juba League, Swechhasebak League, Krishak League and other ancillary organizations of the party were seen ready to welcome the premier.

Gopalganj Police Super M Mizanur Rahman told banglanews that they have taken tight security measure for the premier and set up special check posts at important points of the district.
