JESSORE: Law enforcers, in special drives, detained 55 people including 14 activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami from different upazalis of the district between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

The identity of the detainees could not be disclosed immediately.

Assistant Police Super (sadar) of Jessore Reshma Sharmin told banglanews that they were nabbed from different cases for their alleged involvement in crime and subversive acts.

Earlier, in special drives, law enforcers held 106 people between Tuesday and Thursday in the district.
