RAJSHAHI:  At least nine police men were injured as miscreants threw cocktails at a running police van in Sonadigi more area of the divisional city on Thursday noon.

Amongst the injured—the condition of constables Siddartha, Shahariar, Ananda is critical while policemen Tuhid, Rafi, Asad, Abdul Mazid, Rayhan and Sohel were slightly injured.

Siddartha and Ananda are being taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as their condition deteriorated, said competent sources.

Police sources said that miscreants launched the bomb attack at around 12:30pm while police were going to conduct a drive.

Boalia Thana Officer-in-Charge Ziaur Rahman Zia told banglanews that three police members were injured and they were admitted to hospital.
