The BNP has announced another 48-hour nationwide transport blockade to press home their one-point to oust the ruling Awami League (AL) government.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the programme at a virtual press briefing on Thursday (November 30).
The ninth round of blockade called by the BNP, on roads, railways, and waterways which will end at 6:00am on Tuesday (December 5).
Apart from BNP, the Jamaat-e-Islami, Ganatantra Mancha, Liberal Democratic Party, Gono Odhikar Parishad, AB Party and other like-minded parties also observed hartal and blockade in several times to mount pressure on the AL government to quit power and hold the next election under a non-partisan administration.
