The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has expelled its National Executive Committee member Shah Shahid Sarwar for "breach of party discipline".
The party announced the decision in a press release signed by Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Friday (December 1).
“BNP National Executive Committee member Shah Shahid Sarwar has breached the party discipline seriously by taking a stand against the party,” read the release.
“So, as per the BNP constitution, Shah Shahid Sarwar has been expelled from all party posts, including the primary membership.”
BNP has expelled several senior leaders in the last few days for breaching party discipline.
