DHAKA: At least 87 leaders-activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami were held in joint forces drive in Jessore and Comilla districts between Thrusday midnight and Friday morning.

Meanwhile, ten hand bombs were seized from the possession of the detainees in Jessore.

 In Jessore: Police in a special drive held 52 BNP-Jamaat men from various spots of eight upazilas of the district and recovered 10 hand bombs.

Jessore Assistant Police Super (Sadar) Reshma Sharmin confirmed the matter to banglanews.

In Comilla:  Joint forces, in nightlong drives, detained 35 BNP-Jamaat men from different upazilas of the district.

Of them, eight are BNP men, 10 Jamaat and 17 Shibir men.
