The Election Investigation Committee has summoned former Gazipur city corporation mayor advocate Jahanhir Alam for allegedly campaigning on behalf of independent candidate Kazi Alim Uddin.

Joint District and Sessions Judge of Gazipur First Court Nazmun Nahar of The election investigation committee, summoned Jahangir on Tuesday (December 12).

The committee asked the former mayor to appear in person on December 13 at 11 am and give a written explanation in this regard.

Nazmun Nahar also summoned independent candidate Kazi Alim Uddin and asked to appear in person at the same time and give a written explanation.
