DHAKA: Law enforcers held 29 people, including a former Member of the Parliament and lawyers, from national press club and Nayapaltan area of the capital on Sunday morning.

The detainees are-  former Member of the Parliament Rowshan-ara-Farid,  Supreme Court Lawyers Dr. Arifa Jesmin and Shahana Chowdhury, Jatiya Party (Zafar) presidium member Munira Begum, Muktijoddha Projonmo Central Committee president Ishita, Pirojpur district BNP Assistant president Advocate Abul Kamal Akand, Jatiya Party activist MH Mintoo, and others.

Confirming the matter Ramna zone Assistant Police Commissioner Shibli Noman told banglanews, “Police held them as there has no permission to hold rally.”
