BHOLA: The dawn-to-dusk hartal, called by opposition BNP, is underway in Lalmohon and Tajomuddin upazilas of the district on Monday.

The party is observing the hartal for protesting the detention of BNP vice-chairman Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin.

Sources said that though a little number of vehicles was seen plying through the roads in these upazilas in the morning but the number of vehicles is increasing.

Besides, no picketers were seen on the roads.

Meanwhile, apprehending subversive activities police held four BNP activists.

Confirming the matter Lalmohan Thana Officer-in-Charge Mizanur Rahman told banglanews, “Additional police forces were deployed at various important places of the upazila sadar.”
