DHAKA: H.M Earshad, Chairman of Jatiya Party also former President of the country, wanted to address the nation over the upcoming 10th National election on Bangladesh Television (BTV).

Earshad, in his letter to the election commission, also sought allocation of 45-minute time of BTV for broadcasting his address to nation.   

Ahead of the 10th national election, chief of all political parties, who will compete in the voting, will address to the nation.

These addresses will be broadcasted live on BTV. No date was fixed but it might be in suitable time between January 1 and January 3.    

Election Commission sources confirmed the matter to banglanews on Monday night.

Election sources also said that Election Commission & Information Ministry will take final decision regarding the broadcast of the addresses of party chiefs as soon as possible.
