BHOLA: District unit of BNP is observing daylong hartal in the district protesting the detention of BNP vice-chairman Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin on Tuesday.

Sources said that some rickshaws were seen plying through the roads in the district in the morning.

The movement of all internal and long-route buses remained stopped in the district due to shutdown. Most of the shops and markets were closed.
 
No untoward incident was reported yet.

Bhola Police Super M. Moniuzzaman said to banglanews that police were deployed at key points of district town to avert subversive acts.
