BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has organized a mass campaign in the Dhaka's Dhanmondi to boost the party’s non-cooperation movement and call on the public to boycott the upcoming national polls scheduled for January 7.
He distributed leaflets and conducting mass communication with leaders and activists in Dhanmondi in the capital on Friday (December 29).
Earlier on December 28, BNP announced a two-day mass contact and leaflet distribution programme for Friday (December 29) and Saturday (December 30) as part of their one-point movement.
After continued blockades and hartals, since late October to unseat the government, the BNP on recently announced a non-cooperation movement, urging people to boycott the January 7 general election.
Earlier on December 20, BNP urged voters to boycott what it called a "one-sided dummy election" due in January, as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina kicked off her campaign for a fourth consecutive term.
