DHAKA: Chhatra Shibir activists and blockaders blasted several cocktails in city’s Shahbagh and Uttara on Wednesday night.

In Shahbagh: Witnesses said a group of Shibir activists riding motorbike hurled seven cocktails in front of BIRDEM hospital at 7:30pm.

Officer-in-Charge of Shahbagh Thana Sirajul Islam said, on information, police rushed to the spot and opened fire to disperse Shibir men and they fled the scene.

In Uttara: Police sources said two cocktails were blasted by blockaders and one blockader was caught red handed in city’s Uttara-Abdullahpur bus stand area around 7:15pm.

Uttara East Thana Sub-Inspector Anis confirmed the matter to banglanews.
