BOGRA: The law enforcers held eight people, including a Chhatra Shibir leader, who was injured in an explosion during making cocktails, from a hospital of the district town on Friday noon.

The detainee is Jewel Sarker, President of Azizul Haque College unit Chhatra Shibir, the front organization of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.

Sources said the Shibir leader was injured while he was making cocktails and admitted to Islami Hospital in the district.

On information, police conducted a drive in the hospital and detained eight people, including the Shibir leader, hospital director and two doctors.

Officer-in-Charge of Bogra Sadar Thana Fayjur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
