DHAKA: Apprehending subversive activities after Juma prayer, security measures were beefed up across the country, including the capital, to maintain law-and-order on Friday.

Law enforcers were kept on alert adjacent areas of countrywide mosques to avert any untoward situation.

In previous Friday, the banned outfit Hizb-ut-Tahrir created a huge anarchy in adjacent areas of National Mosque Baitul Mukarram.

Deputy Police Commissioner (Media & Public Relations) Masudur Rahman told banglanews: “The members of law enforcement agency were kept on alert position near different mosques.”
