GAIBANDHA: At least six police personnel including an OC were injured as 18-party men attacked on them at Palashbari upazila of the district on Friday.

Witnesses said that the police team was going to Barisal union to supervise a polling center. On the way around 4:00pm, BNP and Jamaat-Shibir activists swooped on them at Sabdin Notunbazar of the union, leaving six cops including an OC injured.

Blockaders also vandalized two motorcycles of the police. On information, addition law enforcers rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

Palashbari Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nasir Uddin Mondol confirmed the matter to banglanews.
