CHITTAGONG: A Chhatra Shibir activist was shot dead in Bhobanipur area under Lohagora upazila of the district on Sunday afternoon.

The details identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Police sources said that law enforcers shot the Shibir activist while he was snatching a ballot box from a polling center and tried to flee the scene around 3:45pm, leaving him dead on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of Lohagora Thana M Shahjahan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
