A Dhaka court today (Feb 20) granted bail to BNP’s vice chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu in another three cases filed at Paltan police station in the capital.
With this, the BNP leader secured bail in eight out of 10 cases.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka Sultan Sohag Uddin granted bail after hearing a petition.
Defense lawyer Zainul Abedin confirmed the matter.
On February 18, the same court granted bail Shamsuzzaman Dudu in five cases filed at Badda, Paltan and Ramna police stations.
However, the BNP leader currently cannot walk out of jail as still his bail hearing is pending in the High Court in a case of Ramna police station in connection with the attack on the Chief Justice's residence and a case of Paltan police station in connection with sabotage.
