DHAKA: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed on Tuesday said anarchists are not protecting democracy rather they are establishing terrorism in the country by creating violence.

The CEC chief came up with the assertion while talking to reporters at Dhaka Medical College Hospital after visiting the victims of violence during the 10th parliamentary elections.

He said the victims specially police personnel, presiding officers and other government employees were not members of any political parties.

They were injured while they were serving for country. He also wished them to get well soon.

Other high officials of Election Commission accompanied him during the visit.
