BOGRA: Police, in a 24-hour drive, held 77 leader of Jamaat-e-Islami including its district unit Ameer from various spots of the district between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Sources said that the detainees were allegedly involved in different subversive acts including vandalism, arson.

Assistant Police super Gaziur Rahman, also in-charge district police media cell, confirmed the matter to banglanews at 11:00am.

On the other hand, a source of Jamaat said that all the detainees were not involved in politics of Jamaat-Shibir.
