JESSORE: Joint forces held 61 people, including 39 BNP-Jamaat leaders and activists, from various areas of the district and recovered a one-shooter gun and bullets on Wednesday.

Assistant police super of the district Reshma Sharmin, also spokesperson of district police, told banglanews that of the detained, there were 25 Jamaat and 14 BNP activists.

The other detainees are the accused in various cases, she added.

She also said that police recovered a one-shooter gun and two rounds of bullets from city Jamaat ‘rokon’ Towhidur Rahman Bachchu.
