DHAKA: Advocate Khandaker Mahbub Hossain, Adviser to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, sought division in the jail.

Defense lawyer sought the division to Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court.

Magistrate Keshob Roy Chowdhury asked jail authority to take necessary action as per the jail code considering the social status of the plaintiff.

Mahbub’s counsel Zainul Abedin Mejbah confirmed the matter to banglanews.  

Earlier on Thursday, the High Court stayed the remand order of Khandaker Mahbub Hossain.

A lower court on Wednesday granted two-day remand for Khandaker Mahbub Hossain in a bomb blast case.

He was arrested from in front of the National Press Club on Tuesday afternoon.
