MUNSHIGANJ: A Jubo Dal activist was burnt to death by miscreants in Ramananda area under Sirajdikhan upazila of the district on early Monday.

The victim was identified as Jamil Hossain, 32, a Jubo Dal activist and son of Abul Kashem, resident of the upazila.

Police sources said that a gang of miscreants burnt him alive by pouring petrol in the area early Monday.

District Jubo Dal General Secretary Samrat Iqbal claimed Jamil was a Jubo Dal activist and he might have been killed for political enmity.

On information, police recovered his burnt body and sent to Munshiganj General Hospital morgue.

Officer-in-Charge of Sirajdikhan Thana Abul Bashar confirmed the matter to banglanews.
