DHAKA: Islami Chhatra Shibir has called daylong hartal (shutdown) for Wednesday protesting killing of Chittagong University (CU) unit Shibir leader.

Chhatra Shibir Chittagong City unit Chhatra Shibir press secretary announced the hartal after Gayebana Janaza of murdered leader Mamun Hossain around 2:30pm on Monday.

In Sunday, a fierce clash took place between Chhatra League and Shibir at Shah Amanat Hall of CU that left Mamun Hossain, general secretary of Shah Amanat Hall Chhatra Shibir unit dead and several Shibir and Chhatra League activists injured.
