BAGERHAT: Police arrested Fakirhat upazila unit Jamaat-e-Islami secretary on Saturday.

The arrestee is Mofazzel Haydar, son of late Masud Ali from Kathaltala village of the upazila.

He was arrested from Jatrapur Bazar area of Sadar upazila around 7.00pm.

Detective Branch (DB) of Police Sub-Inspector Siddique confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said, “Mofazzel Haydar was nabbed as per several allegations of subversive activities and numbers of case were field at Fakirhat Thana.”

The arrestee was sent to Sadar Model Thana.
