COMILLA: A case was filed Sunday morning against 207 Chhatra League and Chhatra Dal activists of Comilla University (CU) including the convener of CU Chhatra League.

Sub-Inspector of Comilla Sadar (South) Thana Khademul Bahar filed the lawsuit mentioning names of seven Chhatra League and Chhatra Dal men of CoU unit, including CoU Chhatra League convener Mahmudur Rhaman Masum.

Officer-in-Charge of Comilla Sadar (South) Thana Sakhawat Hossain told banglanews that the case was filed on charge of vandalizing a police vehicle and obstructing them from discharging government duties.

On Saturday afternoon, Chhatra League and Chhatra Dal men of Comilla University locked into a clash with bamboo sticks and local weapons.

Police opened fire 30/40 rounds of rubber bullets to disperse them.

Later, Chhatra League activists vandalized a police vehicle.
