DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday alleged that BNP now wants to kill people by burning as it failed to assume power by losing people’s support.

Hasina said BNP and its allies failed to topple government by nonstop hartal and blockade.

She said, “BNP chief tried to stop war criminals trial and till now doing this as she belongs to Pakistani ideology. She is always dreaming for Pakistan and even her mind goes to Pakistan.”

Sheikh Hasina alleged that Khaleda does not want country’s democracy and development as she was under a military ruler.

Sheikh Hasina said the activities of BNP and Jamaat are not movement. These are sheer terrorism and militant activities.

“The government will do everything to ensure safety and security of the people of this region,” she said.

She said participation of the people is a must for any movement. But there is no participation of the people in the name of movement by BNP-Jamaat combine.

Regarding the attacks on the minority people by the BNP- Jamaat terrorists, the Prime Minister mentioned that BNP is saying that the people did not vote in the January 5 polls.

“But they are making attacks on the minority people for casting vote in the elections,” she said.

The premier assured that a list of the affected people is being prepared and they would be given necessary assistance as per the list.

Besides, she said, initiatives have been taken to rebuild houses of the affected people.

The culprits involved in the killing of people and destroying their homes and business establishments will be tracked down wherever they take shelter, she said.
