BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was admitted to the Evercare Hospital in the capital early Monday after suddenly falling ill.
She was taken to the hospital by ambulance around 4:45 am on doctors’ advice.
Shamsuddin Didar, a press wing member of the BNP chairperson, confirmed the matter, quoting BNP Vice Chairman and Khaleda Zia's personal physician Dr AZM Zahid Hossain.
Earlier on 23 June, a pacemaker was implanted in Khaleda’s heart at Evercare Hospital.
