BNP Vice Chairmen Major (Retired) Hafizuddin Ahmed and Dr AZM Zahid Hossain have been appointed as members of the party's Standing Committee, the highest policymaking body within the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

The announcement was made by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi during a press conference at the party’s central office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka, on Friday afternoon.

This elevation of Major (Retd) Hafizuddin Ahmed and Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain to the Standing Committee is seen as a strategic move as the party continues to strengthen its leadership structure.
