Police arrested former Member of Parliament (MP) Sadek Khan from the capital’s West Nakhalpara area on Saturday in a case over killing people during the student protest.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Obaidur Rahman confirmed the matter to the media this evening.

He said that the ex-MP was arrested in a case filed with Mohammadpur Police Station.

Sadek Khan was the former lawmaker of the Dhaka-13 constituency.

He was also the former general secretary of Dhaka North City Unit Awami League.
