The interim government’s Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus would hold dialogues with the country’s political parties from 3pm to 8pm on Saturday.
They would discuss the current state of the country, agenda for reforming state apparatus and holding national elections.
Representatives from the ousted autocratic Awami League and its allies have not been invited to the talks, like in the previous round of dialogues between Yunus and political parties.
The second round of interim government-political party dialogue likely started Thursday with an over one-hour discussion between interim government’s advisers and three BNP leaders.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir hailed the talks as “highly fruitful,” but declined to specify a date for elections, saying it is up to the interim government to fix the date.
