Ashraful Alom, popularly known as Hero Alom, has alleged that he was assaulted by BNP men on a court premises in Bogura town on Sunday (Sept 8).

At this time, attackers also forced Alom to hold his ears and squat in front of people.

The YouTuber came under attack on the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court premises around 12:30pm when he went there to file a case against 33 people, including former Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader, two former deputy commissioners, and an upazila nirbahi officer for beating him up at a polling centre.

He was a candidate from the Bogura-4 constituency in 2018 and Bogura Sadar constituency in 2023.

“During the attack, the attackers said I had hurled abuse at BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman. But I am saying that if anyone can show me any footage of offending Tarique Rahman, then I will roam around with a garland of shoes around my neck,” he said.

However, Joint General Secretary of Bogura district unit BNP Nazmul Huda Papon denied the allegation of Hero Alom.
