Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul claimed that the relations between his party and India have started improving.
Mirza Fakhrul while talking to an Indian media ANI on Wednesday (Sep 26) said, “Ice started to melt with India”.
On September 22, Indian High Commissioner Pranay Kumar Verma met with BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at the BNP chairperson’s office in Gulshan.
The meeting discussed various bilateral issues between the two countries.
Following the meeting with Pranay Verma, Fakhrul said India and Bangladesh have always had very good relations.
“BNP has assured India that they will not allow separatist organizations to use Bangladeshi territory if they come to power,” he said.
Although in the past there have been reports of separatist organizations in India's northeastern region harboring them in Bangladesh.
