President of Jubo Dal Abdul Monayem Munna has alleged that a political party is spreading propaganda against Jubo Dal out of envy for its popularity among the youth.

Speaking at a press conference at the party’s Nayapaltan office today, Munna expressed concern over the country’s law and order situation and warned against conspiracies to destabilise peace.

He condemned the brutal murder of Lal Chand alias Sohag in Old Dhaka’s Mitford area, adding that five accused have been expelled from the party.

“We cannot accept such primitive savagery in this era of civilization," he added.

Munna demanded a fair probe into the case, claiming CCTV footage and case names do not match. 

Senior leaders of Jubo Dal, including General Secretary Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan, as well as leaders of Swechasebak Dal and Chatradal, were present at the briefing.
