A milad and doa mahfil commemorating the 41st death anniversary of former Navy chief Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan was held on Wednesday night at Mahbub Bhaban in Dhanmondi.

Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan was the father-in-law of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, who, along with his wife Dr. Zubaida Rahman and daughter Zaima Rahman, joined the milad virtually from London.

Family members including Iqbal Mand Banu, the widow of Mahbub Ali Khan, were present at the event.

BNP leaders including Standing Committee members Salahuddin Ahmed and AZM Zahid Hossain, as well as Nitai Roy Chowdhury, Ismail Zabiullah, Aman Ullah Aman, Jahir Uddin Swapan, Fazley Elahi Akbar, Atiqur Rahman Ruman, and Andalib Rahman Partho also attended. Politicians, lawyers, professionals, and retired civil and military officials participated in the programme.
